Beerd Van Stokkum | Sweet Cakes

Beerd van Stokkum (1977) was born in Eindhoven. After the Free School, he choosed for the Academy of Art and Design in Den Bosch (graduated in 2001) where his fascination for conceptual thinking and design was born. "I want more than just a poster or a booklet. My goal is to create a world, carrying people in my universe. "In 2006 he started his own desk Wide Design, in which all forms of visual communication come together: spatial design, graphic design, products, animation movies and websites. Half of his time he spends working on behalf of others, the other half goes to development of own products like Sweet Cake, Ornaments, the Art of Curtains, Daylight and The New Standard (nominated by El Hema).
