Studio17 | Child's Play Building
Studio17 was founded in the autumn of 2013 by Christine Petersen and Anne Frøydis Linnerud, both graduates from the Oslo School of Architecture and Design. Both are architects and also parents. As mothers, Christine and Anne missed high quality playhouse products on the market for their children, and this is how the idea for the x-house came about. They designed a small house for children that is held in place just with wedges and is easy to assemble together with your child, to provide a fun and instructive experience. There are currently two types of houses available, the X-hus and its smaller version, XS-hus. They have more types of houses coming our way, amongst them an outdoor version that can withstand moisture, and also an x-tra version that is designed as an extra room or bed in apartments when necessary. Studio 17 also plans to expand the series to include lighting and furniture items too. Studio17 is housed in a studio in the Ekely area of Oslo.
