The Oak Men
On-Trend Wooden Lamps
The Oak Men are Anders Buchtrup Jensen and Peter Hensberg. They are Danish cabinetmakers who love wood and cool stuff. They design and manufacture products for use in life, for real and for fun.
Every product handled by The Oak Men is based on cabinet making, with a focus on quality, simplicity, aesthetics but certainly also a good deal of humor. There are many fine home accessories out there, but they find most of it is made for women. They only produce what they think is cool. They only do stuff which they, as men, as The Oak Men, can relate to. Stuff that men themselves will buy. Stuff that women can buy for their men, but surely also for themselves. At their workshop in Brabrand close to Aarhus, all prototypes come to life, they play with most materials (wood, metal, leather, linoleum…) and work hard with parts of the production. Other parts of production are handled together with talented subcontractors in Denmark, Germany, Slovenia, Poland and China.
