Korridor Design | Artful Accessories

KORRIDOR design is a new Danish furniture and home accessories brand founded by two architects Lærke Rune and Henrik Ilfeldt. Lærke and Henrik met several years ago while they were both studying architecture. They share the same passion for furniture and small accessories for the home but each has their own individual style. Lærke is all about craftmanship. She pays much attention to aesthetics, details and the people who produce her designs. She dedicates herself to working with prototypes and her care for every little detail is a trademark in her designs as well as the finished products. Henriks vision is to add wow-effect into every product. This wow can be found in the form of a neon colour, a special pigmented concrete or in a surprising combination of materials. One could say that Henrik likes to go crazy on a small scale. His products are mostly small home accessories. Even if Henrik and Lærke do not live by the same design philosophy, they share the same fundamental idea as to the purpose of being a designer: They both feel the urge to create a design experience that reaches further than the product itself. Founded on this very thought the KORRIDOR design team is dedicated to working on small mobile exhibitions, street art and decorations that will allow people an experience of how art can derive from everyday products and hopefully put a smile on their face. KORRIDOR design aims to live by its own motto: products can be turned into art and art can turn into products.
