Lamps with Light-filtering Leaves
Thomas Peter Lund (°1980) is an architect with a Master of Arts and Architecture diploma from the Aarhus School of Architecture (Denmark). He works with experimental lightning design, architecture, and strategic urban planning, which explores the intersection between light and architecture. In his atelier light and architecture are being developed at eye level. Through physical prototypes his work is investigated and documented based on the fundamental criteria of architectural value, such as structure, significance, illumination, space and materiality. It’s all about transforming light. His designs are not only visually expressive, they also hold storage of historic and contemporary layers of lighting theory whose basic principles are explored and reinterpreted.
