Dögg Guðmundsdóttir, born in 1970 in Reykjavik, Is an Icelandic designer based in Copenhagen. Her works are distinctly influenced by the naturalness of materials, organic shapes and traditional craftsmanship. A special feature of her work is the versatility of the objects and a playful approach to the design, thus many of her designs can serve two different purposes or be used in various ways. Dögg studied industrial Design at the ‘Istituto Europeo di Design’ in Milan from 1992 to 1996, after that she studied at the Danish Design School from 1996 until 1998 as a guest student in the glass, product and graphics department.
