Malafor | Blow Sofa
Malafor is a design studio created by Agata Kulik-Pomorska and Pawel Pomorski. These Polish designers graduated at Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk (Poland) in 2003 and since them they have created a fantastic collection of well good looking and functional objects. We think Malafor duo know how to create more with less. Their objects are simple yet their form and shape is often surprising.
Even though utility is an important factor, they consider concept as the most valuable aspect in their work. In search of innovation, they try to find new uses for the commonly known materials. They treat seriously the functionality of their projects, while they have fun in creating their image and idea. The concepts of their work come from an artistic background, still they always try to maintain a strong awareness for the industry, whilst creating new objects. Most of their products are enviromental friendly and easy to dismantle. Like the "Blow Sofa", which is made from recycled paper and in which it is easier to replace just the cloth rather than the whole furniture.
Malafor is price winner in many international competitions such as the latest 2012 Red Dott Award (Blow Sofa).
