B-Made | Abstract Jewlery

Bernadette Van den Braak studied at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Maastricht, but it was leaving this school behind and starting her own company, B-Made, that really triggered the development of her own signature style. Nepal and its culture also play a central role in the development of her work on several levels. The skilful and artisan production techniques and natural materials that she encountered there continuously inspires her to make new and unseen object. Most of her products are produced in Nepal, supporting the lives of skillful craftspeople. As a designer Bernadette Van de Braak creates personal statements that are based on her independant and open personlaity. Her projects focus on the design of tapestries, graphic design and jewelry. The designs she creates all start as a drawing of organically originating abstract patterns. She then translates these patterns into other materials like jewelry, carpets and other textiles.
