Keith Brymer Jones is a born and bred Londoner and a potter by trade. The first thing he ever made was a pottery owl, when he was 11 years old. It was then that he knew he wanted to be a potter. At the age of 18 he started his apprenticeship for Harefield Pottery in London, where he really learnt how to use traditional hand craft to make modern ceramics. After this apprenticeship he started out his first studio where he hand-made all his ceramics for lots of retailers including Conran, Habitat, Barneys NY, Monsoon, Laura Ashley and Heals. Now, as the head of Design at MAKE International, he’s very happy to collaborate with amazing designers. Keith has a simple design philosophy: he likes to create stylish yet simple products that are pleasing to the eye and, above all, are practical in the modern home and make people happy! Less is more!
