Contemporary Tea & Coffee Sets

‘Form follows function doesn’t mean all objects have to look the same’ Bored of seeing more of the same Tonfisk Design was established in 1999 by two young designers to market and produce objects which are not mere variations. ‘Tonfisk’ means ‘tuna fish’ in Swedish. The name was chosen late one Finnish winter night because no other name seemed to fit the values of the company- innovative, personal, Finnish. ‘Tonfisk’ didn’t seem to either at the time but we liked it. Funnily nowadays it seems to fit just right! All Tonfisk’s ceramics are produced by hand at Tonfisk’s own factory in Turku to ensure good quality, the possibility to innovate and the well being of those who make a Tonfisk product. Tonfisk’s products are now available worldwide and are part of permanent collection of several museums worldwide including the Les Arts Decoratifs in Paris.
