Londji

Creative Toys

The Spanish designer Londji creates games and objects by mixing vintage and modern styles. Londji is primarily a story of family and friendship. Created by 2 cousins, Albert and Pere Giró Puigdemont, the two friends have a real love for Africa. In parallel with their activities, they begin in the late 90s to import traditional African games. The breakthrough took place in 2004 at the Forum of Cultures Barcelona. Pere and Albert coordinate a temporary boutique with games and toys from around the world. Londji becomes a reality. This shop for "all children 8-88 years", whose name is inspired by a pretty little fishing village in Cameroon, provides a catalog that continues to flourish, harmoniously mixing imported toys and unique creations inspired by the games of yesteryear. The purpose of the two friends? Modernize and reinterpret. And above all, upgrade, with design and a careful selected packaging. If Londji takes care of the concept and operation of the products, Txell Darne and Joan Gómez, of the design studio Can Seixanta, are responsible for the dressing. The result is world of traditional and creative games manufactured by using natural and recycled fabrics for children and their parents.
