Matthias Kothe founds the label Komat in 2001. After training as a carpenter, he studies architecture in Berlin and Weimar. During his studies he creates his first furniture designs and interior design concepts. The products are manufactured in small series and unique pieces by selected crafts enterprises. The geographic vicinity to the manufacturing partners enables individual design in shape and
material. Komat products meet the highest demands of quality and function.
