Simplicity, ascetic form language and functionality, not forgetting subtle humour, are the best words to describe their design. Tapio Anttila is particularly interested in wood and working it in a modern way, while still honouring traditions. Recently they have started a collaboration with Laura Väre, a designer who gets inspiration from small, everyday chores and long walks. Her furniture is defined by simple forms and functionality. She appreciates the bond that develops between an object and its owner: “It is important that a product is liked – it guarantees its longevity.”.”
