PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Forget about the traditional bouquet of flowers, let this Ball Lamp brighten up your living room table. The Ball Lamp is a white glass globe, resting on a bakelite ball of the same size. The object was made by designers of Big-Game, masters in creating the pretext for a new design by stripping objects of their primary function. This perfectly proportional lamp was the first object of the Tamawa home collection.

Story of the designer

Tamawa is the collaboration between Belgium designer Hubert Verstraeten and Saluc, a manufacturer of snooker balls. The brand gives the object a whole new meaning, by using it in each produced product. Their choice of material is very durable and available in all official snooker colours. It also creates a unique design basis for each item. Saluc fabricates bakelite balls in various sizes, through which the material becomes a landscape for innovative experimentation. Tamawa is Japanese for 'bead on steel ring'. The brand only collaborates with Belgian designers and their aim is to always maintain a coherent collection.
